Boondi Raitha

Description: A raitha with a crunch combining yogurt and boondi.
Preparation Time: 15 mins

INGREDIENTS: MAIN:
Fresh plain boondi – ½ cup
Sweet curd – 1½ cups
Grated coconut – 2 tablespoons
Green Chilli – 2 slit
Ginger – 1 small piece
Coriander leaves(finely cut) – 2 tablespoons
Salt – to taste

FOR SEASONING:

Coconut oil – 2 teaspoons
Mustardseeds – ½ teaspoon
Blackgram dal – ½ teaspoon
Curry Leaves – 4-5

PREPARATION METHOD:

1.Grind the coconut,green chili, ginger and one tablespoon of coriander leaves to a smooth paste.
2.Beat the curds lightly,add the ground paste and salt and mix thoroughly.
3.Heat the oil and add mustard seeds,when it starts to crackle, add the blackgram dal and red chili.
4.When the blackgram dal is golden brown, add the curry leaves.
5.Add the above mixture to the curd mixture.
6.About 10 minutes before serving, add the boondi and the other tablespoon of coriander leaves and mix thoroughly
