Description: This powder can be used in making many North Indian dishes
Preparation Time: 20 mins
Coriander seeds – 1 tablespoon
Khus-khus – 4 teaspoons
Red chillies – 6
Black pepper – 10 seeds
Jeera – 1 teaspoon
Aniseeds (sonf) – 1 teaspoon
Cashewnut pieces – 2 tablespoons
Fried gram(pottu kadalai) – 4 tablespoons
Desiccated coconut – 4 tablespoons
1.Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan and fry all of the ingredients except
fried gram and dessicated coconut.
2.When the cashewnut pieces turn golden brown remove from the fire and cool.
3.Add the fried gram,coconut and a teaspoon of Garam Masala and powder finely in the mixie.
It is best to make this powder in small quantities for immediate use.
