Mango & Coconut Chutney

Description: This is a tasty chutney which can be eaten with rice or used as an accompaniment with Dosa or Idli.

INGREDIENTS: MAIN:
Fresh Raw Green Mango(grated) – 5 tablespoons
Coconut(grated) – 6 tablespoons
Green Chilies – 2
Asafoetida powder – ¼ teaspoon
Coriander leaves – few sprigs
Salt – to taste
Curry Leaves – 4-5 leaves
INGREDIENTS:FOR SEASONING
Coconut Oil – 1 tablespoon
Mustard Seeds – 1/2 teaspoon
Uradh Dhal – 1/2 teaspoon
Curry Leaves – 4-5 leaves

METHOD:

  1. Take all the above ingredients except the grated mango and grind to a till combined. Then add the grated mango and pulse it for a few seconds. The paste should be a little coarse.
  2. Season with mustard seeds,Uradh Dhal and curry leaves in little coconut oil.
  3. This is great with Dosa or Idli but can also be eaten with rice.
